We've made it through the darkest of the year! The Spring Equinox is the time when the day and night are finally equal. A time when light and darkness are brought into harmony and light once again rules the world. It is a time of re-awakening and re-birth. Arrange fresh flowers, light candles and fires. It is a great to time rid oneself of old ideas and past fears and renew vows, refresh dreams, and take on new conquests. It is a time of re-awakening. Get ready for more light and love in your life.
The name, Easter, is derived from Eostre, Eostar, or Ostara, which all refer to the name of the Goddess of Spring who was honored at the time of Vernal Equinox. In Greek mythology, a humble rabbit presented brightly decorated eggs, to please the Goddess, Eostre. The eggs represented life from life-lessness. She was so pleased with the symbolic gift from this gentle loving creature that she asked him to spread her joy and deliver eggs around the world. Come join us, Tuesday, March 19th, 7-9pm for a social gathering and fun activities including a functional mushroom hunt (our version of the Easter egg), flower arranging demo, artwork from the community, live music and more! There will be tasty nibbles and CBD mocktails to enjoy.
Feel free to bring yourself, friends or family. Let's celebrate our growing community and celebrate Spring's arrival!
